Experts Panel

As part of Kiwi Commons’ commitment to helping youth stay safe online, we have brought together a panel of experts to help answer your questions regarding Internet Safety and to develop our growing library of resources under their professional guidance.

The members who comprise our expert panel represent a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds including educators, youth workers and law enforcement.  The aim of the panel is to provide high-quality articles on a variety of issues and to serve as a one-stop resource, where parents, educators and youth can find practical guidance and support.

Queries range from Internet Safety concerns about finding help with gaming and Internet addiction to effectively dealing with cyberbullying to preventing malware from infecting your computer.

Youth Advisory Panel

The Kiwi Youth Advisory Panel is made up of young people who share the common goal of raising Internet safety awareness through education, community building and discussion. Working in partnership with the youth panel, Kiwi Commons aims to bring parents, educators and youths of all ages into a constructive dialogue surrounding Internet safety issues.

Specifically, the youth panel will be involved in:

  • Providing parents and educators with perspectives and insights into youth online culture through Kiwi’s kids’ column, For Kids, By Kids.
  • Engaging young people of all ages in youth-led, e-Safety events and initiatives, both online and offline
  • Addressing questions and concerns from our parent and teacher communities to improve strategies for approaching Internet safety topics and implementing protection measures in schools and at home.
  • Evaluating resources and materials to ensure they are current and relevant to the online challenges youth face today

If you are interested in joining the youth advisory panel, email info@kiwicommons.com.
